SAN BERNARDINO – The City of Indio (City), in cooperation with the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) and the County of Riverside (County) proposes to reconstruct and widen Monroe Street at Interstate 10 (I-10) to improve the operational performance of the Monroe Street interchange.
This public notice is to inform the public of the availability of the Draft Initial Study (IS)/Environmental Assessment (EA). The public will have from May 22, 2020 through June 22, 2020 to review and provide comments. You may submit your written comments to Renetta Cloud, Senior Environmental Planner, California Department of Transportation, 464 West 4th Street, 6th Floor, MS-823, or via e-mail to Interstate10_Monroe_Int@dot.ca.gov.
The Draft IS/EA for the I-10/Monroe Street interchange project can be obtained from the following websites: www.indio.org, rcprojects.org/monroe-st-interchange or by contacting Renetta Cloud, (909) 383-6323, Interstate10_Monroe_Int@dot.ca.gov. This document can be emailed in pdf format, or a CD can be mailed.
A virtual public hearing (open forum format with court reporter) will be held on the following date and location to comment and provide relevant input before an alternative is selected:
