FAIRFIELD—Caltrans has scheduled temporary intermittent overnight lane closures on westbound Interstate 80 (I-80) in Fairfield Tuesday, July 9 through Saturday, July 13 to accommodate concrete slab replacement on the Dan Wilson Creek Bridge.
Motorists should expect lane closures on westbound I-80 between Suisun Parkway and Suisun Valley Road between 7:00 PM and 4:00 AM Tuesday, July 9 through Friday, July 11. On Friday, the lane closures will begin at 7:00 PM, ending at 6:00 AM Saturday, July 13, concluding the closures.
Anywhere from one to four lanes will be closed for brief periods during these intervals.
The bridge is located on westbound I-80 just west of the westbound I-80 Cordelia Truck Scales.
Caltrans is also temporarily reducing the length of the High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lane on westbound Interstate 80 (I-80) in Fairfield to accommodate the bridge work.
The HOV lane will now temporarily end at the Abernathy Road on-ramp to westbound I-80. The temporary reduction will accommodate work on the bridge from July 8 through October 2019.
Caltrans thanks motorists for their patience during the bridge work.
