Nightly Ramp, Lane Closures on US-101, State Route 131 (Tiburon Boulevard) as Bridge Preservation Project Continues in Marin County

Schedule: Tuesday, Dec. 26 through the morning of Thursday, Dec. 28

MARIN COUNTY – Caltrans is scheduled to continue its bridge preservation project. Work will be in different locations on Tuesday, Dec. 26 and Wednesday, Dec. 27 as crews will be replacing old concrete with polyester concrete in various locations throughout the county.

Various lanes will be closed from Eastbound State Route 131 (Tiburon Boulevard) to Westbound SR-131 in Mill Valley on Tuesday, Dec. 26 from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m. the next morning. The Northbound US-101 off-ramp bus stop at Eastbound SR-131 will be closed during that same time.

There will be a lane closed on the Southbound US-101 connector off-ramp to Eastbound SR-131 from 11 p.m. until 6 a.m. At least one lane will be open for traffic.

The connector loop on-ramp to Northbound US-101 from Eastbound SR-131 will be closed from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m.

Various lanes will be closed near Francisco Boulevard/California Park overhead bridge in San Rafael on Northbound US-101 on Tuesday, Dec. 26 from 11 p.m. until 8 a.m. the next morning. Various lanes will be closed near Francisco Boulevard/California Park overhead bridge on Southbound US-101 from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. the next morning.

The Northbound US-101 connector off-ramp to Bellam Boulevard/Eastbound I-580 will be closed on that same day from 11 p.m. until 5 a.m. the next morning.

The Southbound US-101 on-ramp for Francisco Boulevard West will be closed from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. the next morning.

Take Northbound US-101 on-ramp from Bellam Boulevard
Get on Northbound US-101
Take the off-ramp to Second Street
Take the on-ramp to US-101 Southbound from Second Street
Take US-101 and exit on 451B and get back on Southbound US-101

Detour for NB US-101 off-ramp to Richmond Bridge/Francisco Blvd
Continue to Northbound US-101 off-ramp to Second Street
Take Second Street on-ramp to Southbound US-101 and take the off-ramp for
the Richmond Bridge/Francisco Boulevard

There will be work on the Southbound US-101 off-ramp to Westbound Sir Francis Drake Boulevard on Wednesday, Dec. 27 from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. the next morning. There will be work on the Southbound US-101 off-ramp to Eastbound Sir Francis Drake from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. as well.

Changeable message and directional signs will be in place to assist motorists traveling in the area. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) will be on-site during the closures.

Some rain is in the forecast for Marin County, so work will be completed when conditions allow.
