FREMONT / ALAMEDA COUNTY – Caltrans has temporarily closed one lane on southbound Interstate 680 in the vicinity of Vargas Road in Fremont this afternoon, December 8, to repair deteriorated pavement. Delays are expected. The roadway is expected to reopen this evening, possibly as early as 8 p.m.
