Nightly Ramp, Lane Closures on Northbound, Southbound, US-101 For Final Striping of Richardson Bridge Project in Marin County

Schedule: Monday, Oct. 23 through the morning of Saturday, Oct. 28

MARIN COUNTY — Caltrans has scheduled final striping for the Richardson Bridge project along Northbound and Southbound US-101 from Monday, Oct. 23 through Friday, Oct. 27. Construction for the project involves the replacement of the existing asphalt concrete bridge deck surface with polyester concrete on US-101 at Richardson Bay Bridge in Sausalito and Mill Valley.

On those same days, there will be various lanes closures on Northbound US-101 from 8 p.m. until 8 a.m. the next mornings. At least one lane will be open for traffic.

Take the off-ramp at Spencer Avenue
Take a left on Monte Mar Drive
Take the on-ramp onto US-101 northbound

The Northbound US-101 off-ramp to Redwood Highway Frontage Road will be closed on Tuesday, Oct. 24 and Friday, Oct. 27 from 9 p.m. until 7 a.m. the next mornings.

Take the off-ramp to Tiburon Boulevard
Go eastbound on Tiburon Boulevard
Take a right on Frontage Road

The connector off-ramp from Southbound US-101 to State Route 1 will be closed on Monday, Oct. 23, Wednesday, Oct. 25 and Thursday, Oct. 26 from 7 p.m. until 7 a.m. the next mornings. On those same days, there will be various lane closures on Southbound US-101 from 5 p.m. until 5 a.m. the next mornings.

Go northbound onto Bridgeway
Take the on-ramp onto US-101 northbound
Take the off-ramp to SR-1 (Shoreline Highway)

The on-ramp from Redwood Highway Frontage Road will be closed on Monday, Oct. 23 and Wednesday, Oct. 25 and Thursday, Oct. 24 from 6 p.m. until 7 a.m. the next mornings.

Go westbound on Tiburon Boulevard
Loop onto the on-ramp for US-101 southbound

The bicycle lane on the US-101 southbound shoulder will be shut down during construction hours. Cyclists can take a detour onto US-101 northbound to Frontage Road, turn on Hamilton Drive and then onto the Mill Valley Sausalito bike path. Detour signs will be posted.

All work depends on weather.

Changeable message and directional signs will be in place to assist motorists traveling in the area. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) will be on-site during the closures. Please drive with caution. Slow for the Cone Zone and Be Work Zone Alert. Caltrans thanks motorists for their patience while we work to maintain our state's highways, bridges, and tunnels.
