Ramp Closures on Northbound US-101 in Larkspur, Corte Madera as Bridge Preservation Project Continues in Marin County

Schedule: Monday, Oct. 2 through the morning of Saturday, Oct. 7

MARIN COUNTY – Caltrans is scheduled to continue a bridge preservation project in Larkspur and Corte Madera in the first week of October. There will be on- and off-ramp closures on Northbound US-101 as crews are replacing old concrete with polyester concrete in various locations throughout the county.

The Sir Francis Drake off-ramp and the Redwood Highway Frontage Road on-ramp above Corte Madera Creek will be closed from Monday, Oct. 2 to Friday, Oct. 6 between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following mornings.

Bus service may be affected during those hours.

Take Second Street on-ramp to Southbound US-101
From Southbound US-101, take off-ramp to Sir Francis Drake

Second detour for Sir Francis Drake off-ramp closure in Larkspur
Take Northbound US-101 off-ramp to Richmond Bridge/Francisco Boulevard
Take Bellam Boulevard to Francisco Boulevard West
Take Southbound US-101 to off-ramp at Sir Francis Drake

Detour for NB US-101 Redwood Highway/Frontage closure in Corte Madera
Continue driving on Redwood Highway
Follow Tamalpais Drive to Northbound US-101 on-ramp

The project is scheduled to be completed in the winter of 2023. All work depends on weather.

Changeable message and directional signs will be in place to assist motorists traveling in the area. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) will be on-site during the closures.
