Concrete Slab Replacement Work
CONTRA COSTA COUNTY- Caltrans has scheduled two consecutive weekends of weekend lane closures on westbound Interstate-80 (I-80) between Pomona Street in Crockett and Willow Avenue in Hercules
The overnight lane closures will impact the two far-left traffic left lanes on westbound I-80 during two consecutive weekends, the weekends starting the night of Friday, September 29 and the weekend starting the night of Friday, October 6.
These weekend lane closures will allow crews to safety complete concrete slab installation work in the far two left traffic lanes on westbound I-80.
The two far-right traffic lanes on westbound I-80 will remain open at all times. However, motorists should expect delays.
This latest stage of work is a continuation of work related to the Contra Costa I-80 Pave Project which started earlier summer during four weekend full highway closures.
These weekend lane closures will allow crews to safely complete concrete slab installation work to replace damaged concrete slabs in the two left traffic lanes on westbound I-80.
All work on the Contra Costa I-80 Pave Project including paving, slab replacement, concrete work, lane line painting and cleanup is scheduled, weather dependent, to be completed by December 2023.
