Nightly Lane Closures on US-101, SR-37 for Repaving Project in Marin County Due to Storm-Related Repairs

Workdays: Sunday, May 7 through Tuesday May 9, 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

MARIN COUNTY — Caltrans will continue its storm-related pothole, repaving project on US-101 and State Route 37 (SR-37) near San Rafael and Novato from Sunday, May 7 through Tuesday, May 9.

Lanes will be closed on US-101 northbound and southbound between Sir Francis Drake off-ramp and the Francisco Boulevard off-ramp in San Rafael on Sunday, May 7 from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. on the morning of Monday, May 8 for striping work. Up to three lanes will be closed starting at 11 p.m. At least one lane will be open.

One lane will be closed for striping work on westbound and eastbound SR-37 at the Petaluma River Bridge on Monday, May 8 from 8 a.m. to 6 a.m. on the morning of Tuesday, May 9. At least one lane will be open to traffic.

Striping work will occur on US-101 northbound at Rowland Boulevard off-ramp and US-101 southbound near De Long Avenue in Novato on Tuesday, May 9 between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. on Wednesday, May 10. Up to three lanes will be closed starting at 11 p.m. At least one lane will be open.

The bus stop on the Rowland Boulevard off-ramp will be affected, but workers will flag the bus into the stop during construction hours.

All work is dependent on weather. Motorists are encouraged to allow extra time and plan their routes ahead of time.

Changeable message and directional signs will be in place to assist motorists traveling in the area. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) will be on-site during the closures.
