For Maintenance Work Beginning Tuesday, June 16, 2020, at 9:30 PM

ALAMEDA AND CONTRA COSTA COUNTIES – Caltrans will temporarily close each bore of the State Route 24 (SR-24) Caldecott Tunnel overnight starting Tuesday, June 17. At least one bore in each direction will remain open.

Westbound Bore #3 Closed Night of June 16
Beginning Tuesday, June 16 at 9:30 PM until 12:15 AM on Wednesday, June 17, the #3 westbound bore will be temporarily closed for tunnel maintenance work.

Eastbound Bore #2 Closed Night of June 17
Beginning Wednesday, June 17 at 12:30 AM until 4:30 AM on Thursday, June 18, the #2 eastbound bore will be temporarily closed for tunnel maintenance work.

Westbound Bore #4 Closed Night of June 17
Beginning Wednesday, June 17 at 9:30 PM until 12:15 AM on Thursday, June 18, the #4 westbound bore will be temporarily closed for tunnel maintenance work.

Eastbound Bore #1 Closed Night of June 18
Beginning Thursday, June 18 at 12:30 AM until 4:30 AM on Friday, June 19, the #1 eastbound bore will be temporarily closed for tunnel maintenance work.

Traffic Control Measures:

Changeable message signs will be in place to alert motorists traveling in the area. Motorists are advised to expect delays and allow extra time. Please drive with caution through the construction zone. Slow for the Cone Zone.
