Between (NB) Vermont and Cesar Chavez in San Francisco
Slab Replacement Work

San Francisco - Caltrans has scheduled overnight lane closures in San Francisco on southbound U.S.101 starting on Thursday, May 14 at 8:00 PM through Saturday, May, 23 at 6:00 AM. Work will be performed Mondays-Fridays including weekends.

Crews will replace concrete slabs in two (2) lanes of the four (4) lane roadway on U.S. 101 between the northbound Vermont Street and the Cesar Chavez exit.  Various on and off-ramp closures in the area may also be in effect.
Drivers are also reminded that various lane closures related to the Alemany Deck Replacement Project located south of Vermont Street on U.S. 101 also remain in effect.

This work is needed due to the constant wear and tear and residents are advised to expect some noise. Once completed, residents and motorists will benefit from a safer, smoother drive.

Motorists are advised to reduce their speeds through the construction zones.  Caltrans regrets any inconvenience and thanks residents and motorists for their patience as we work to maintain our state’s highways.
