Daytime Closure Scheduled for Highway 193/Interstate 80 Interchange

Placer County— Caltrans is alerting motorists about a daytime closure of the State Highway 193/Interstate 80 interchange this Saturday.

The Highway 193 ramps to and from westbound and eastbound Interstate 80 (I-80) are scheduled to be closed from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The schedule is subject to change due to weather, equipment or material availability, or other unexpected events.

Crews will be replacing a pole for a flashing traffic signal and performing other miscellaneous maintenance work in the area.

During the closure, Highway 193 and Taylor Road motorists wishing to access Interstate 80 should take Old State Highway to the Newcastle Road/Interstate 80 interchange. Ophir Road motorists wishing to access westbound I-80 should travel east toward Auburn and take the Maple Street exit.
