Emergency Work Scheduled on U.S. Highway 50 in Sacramento

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

SACRAMENTO – Caltrans is alerting motorists about scheduled overnight emergency work on westbound U.S. Highway 50 that will close the connector to northbound and southbound Interstate 5 tonight into early Saturday morning.

Maintenance crews will be repairing and replacing attenuators damaged from a vehicle collision. A signed detour will redirect westbound U.S. Hwy 50 motorists trying to exit onto I-5.

 

RAMP CLOSURE SCHEDULE:

  • From 10 p.m. Feb. 12 to 4 a.m. Feb. 13

DETOUR:

  • U.S. Hwy 50 continue westbound to South River Road or Jefferson Boulevard (Exit 3) to turn around back onto eastbound U.S. Hwy 50 for access to northbound or southbound I-5.

Weather or unexpected events may delay or prolong the work.
