Sacramento — Motorists can expect the exit to California State University Sacramento at eastbound U.S. 50 in Sacramento to be open by Monday, August 26 in time for Fall Semester classes.

Caltrans urges motorists to slow down and use caution through the work zone, the project is still active.

Overnight work will be scheduled instead of daytime closures until the project’s completion in October this year.

The $2.9 million project will preserve and extend the existing pavement life, improve the overall ride quality and nighttime visibility with added lighting. The addition of another lane to the ramp will also help with traffic flow.

Suggested Routes:

  • From eastbound U.S. 50 Exit 9 Continue to Power Inn Road (South) to Folsom Boulevard (West) to Hornet Drive (North) or continue from Folsom (West) to State University Drive (North) for access to CSU Sacramento.

Weather or unexpected events may delay or prolong the work. Caltrans advises motorists to “Be Work Zone Alert.” The department will issue construction updates on Twitter @CaltransDist3 and on Facebook.
