SR-54/I-5/I-805 Connectors Closed Tonight, 9/6

SAN DIEGO —Caltrans crews will close two connector ramps tonight on State Route 54 (SR-54) for slab repair work.

The first closure will occur on the northbound Interstate 5 connector ramp to eastbound SR-54 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Motorists will be detoured to northbound I-5 Mile of Cars Way/Bay Marina Drive off-ramp, turn left to the Mile of Cars Way/Bay Marina Drive southbound I-5 on-ramp to eastbound SR-54.

The second closure will take place on the westbound SR-54 ramps to northbound and southbound Interstate 805 from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. Motorists will be detoured to the SR-54 Highland Avenue off-ramp, turn left to the westbound SR-54 Highland Avenue on-ramp to the northbound and southbound I-805 ramps.

Motorists are reminded to be Work Zone Alert if traveling in the area and to watch for highway workers and moving construction equipment.

The work schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions, traffic incidents, or other construction-related reasons.
