SAN DIEGO —Caltrans maintenance crews will close the southbound State Route 163 (SR-163) connector to northbound Interstate 5 (I-5)/4th Avenue Wednesday from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. for guardrail repair. The southbound SR-163 connector to southbound I-5 will also be closed.
Detours for both closures
- Southbound SR-163 to northbound I-5/4th Avenue: continue southbound on SR-163 onto 10th Avenue, turn left at C Street, and left onto 19th Street to northbound I-5
- Southbound SR-163 to southbound I-5: continue southbound on SR-163 onto 10th Avenue and turn left at C Street to southbound I-5
Motorists are reminded to be Work Zone Alert if traveling in the area and to watch for highway workers and moving construction equipment.
The construction schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions, traffic incidents, or other construction-related reasons.
