SAN DIEGO — Caltrans crews will close the northbound Interstate 5 (I-5) off-ramp to Hawthorn Street/San Diego International Airport Tuesday from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. for slope maintenance.
Northbound I-5 motorists may continue to India Street via the Sassafras Street off-ramp, turn left onto Sassafras Street, left onto Pacific Highway, and right on West Laurel Street to North Harbor Drive following the signs to San Diego International Airport.
The work is scheduled at night during low traffic volumes to minimize traffic impacts, increase worker safety and for the safety of the traveling public. The maintenance schedule is subject to change due to weather, traffic incidents or other maintenance considerations.
