SAN DIEGO — Caltrans crews will close the eastbound Interstate 8 (I-8) to southbound State Route 163 (SR-163) connector in Mission Valley Thursday night September 15, between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. for construction work.

This is part of an ongoing road rehabilitation project impacting two miles of the interstate, improving the lifespan of the roadway.

Nearby residents and businesses can expect nighttime construction noise and lights, including Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) required vehicle back-up alarms. Crews will work to minimize noise impacts to all nearby communities.
