Major roadwork scheduled Friday, May 17 through Thursday, May 23

The following scheduled roadwork has been verified at the time of release. Please keep in mind work is weather permitting and subject to change. Del Norte County 

  • U.S. 101 (8.3/8.6) – Bridge work near Hunter Creek Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate up to 10-minute delays. LC#C101KB
  • U.S. 101 (35.8/36.5) – Construction at the Dr. Fine Bridge near Smith River will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate up to 10-minute delays. LC#C101WA
  • U.S. 199 (19.9/31.1) – Emergency work from the Gasquet area to the Collier Tunnel Rest Area will continue. One-way traffic is scheduled weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should expect up to 30-minute delays. LC#C199HA

Humboldt County

  • Route 36 (11/11.5) – Bridge work from Pamplin Grove to Redwood House Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays. LC#C36UA
  • Route 36 (15.7/16) – Slide removal work west of Devils Elbow Picnic Area will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate up to 20-minute delays except for Monday, May 20, which will require up to 60-minute delays. LC#C36DA
  • Route 36 (25.3/25.4) – Bridge work at Little Larabee Creek will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays. LC#C36UA 
  • Route 36 (25.4/25.9) – Tree work near the Caltrans Bridgeville Maintenance Station will occur on Tuesday, May 21. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns. LC#P36BA
  • Route 36 (32.3/32.7) – Tree work near Larabee Buttes Access Road will occur on Monday, May 20. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns. LC#P36BA
  • Route 36 (37.2/37.4) – Emergency work near Burr Valley Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 5-minute delays. LC#C36DA
  • Route 96 (27/27.6) – Construction work near Bluff Creek Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate up to 10-minute delays. LC#C96LA 
  • Route 96 (29.9) – Bridge work at Slate Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 5-minute delays. LC#C96KA
  • U.S. 101 (88.3) – Work at the 299 interchange in Arcata will continue. The northbound onramp to Route 299 will be fully closed overnight from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Motorists should use an alternative route. LC#C101KD
  • U.S. 101 (88.8) – Work at the Giuntoli Lane Overcrossing in Arcata will continue. The northbound offramp will be fully closed overnight from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Motorists should use an alternative route. LC#C101KD
  • Route 169 (28.5/33.4) - Utility work between Rube Ranch Creek Bridge and Old Village Road will occur on Wednesday, May 22. One-way traffic control is scheduled from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Travelers should expect minor traffic slowdowns. #P169BA
  • Route 254 (3.2/4.3) – Bridge construction near Fish Creek Road will continue. A full closure will be in effect. Motorists should use an alternate route. LC#C254CA
  • Route 254 (4.3/4.8) – Road work north of Fish Creek Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should expect 5-minute delays. LC#C254DA
  • Route 254 (18.6/20.6) – Emergency work will continue in Weott. A full closure is in effect. Motorists should use an alternate route. LC#T254AA
  • Route 299 (0.5/5.8) – Construction work west of Blue Lake will continue. Lane closures will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Travelers should expect 5-minute delays. LC#C299HA
  • Route 299 (5.3/5.5) – Electrical work near Blue Lake will continue. Lane closures will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Travelers should expect 5-minute delays. LC#C299HA
  • Route 299 (5.3/5.8) – Electrical work near Blue Lake will continue. The westbound offramp Exit 5 to Blue Lake and the westbound onramp from Glendale Avenue will continue to be closed weekdays from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Travelers should use an alternate route. LC#C299HA
  • Route 299 (11/11.4) – Construction east of Blue Lake near North Fork Mad River Bridge 4-194 will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should expect 10-minute delays. LC#C299FA
  • Route 299 (31/33) - Permit work near Cedar Creek Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should expect up to 10-minute delays. LC#P299BA
  • Route 299 (32.1/32.5) - Construction work west of East Fork Campground will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should expect 5-minute delays. LC#C299LA
  • Route 299 (37.8/38.8) - Permit work near the Route 96 Jct will begin on Wednesday, May 22. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should expect 5-minute delays. LC#P299BA
  • Route 299 (41.9/43) - Construction work west of Salyer will continue through Tuesday, May 21. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should expect 8-minute delays. LC#C299LA

Lake County

  • Route 20 (1.1/2.4) – Construction work from Blue Lakes Road to Irvine Avenue will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Motorists should anticipate up to 15-minute delays. LC#P20KA
  • Route 20 (10.8/11.4) – Electrical work near Upper Lake from west of Pomo Way to east of Reclamation Cutoff will conclude on Friday, May 17. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should expect up to 5-minute delays. LC#P20YA
  • Route 20 (11.5) – Utility work near Upper Lake at Pomo Way will occur on Monday, May 20. Full lane closures will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Motorists should expect up to 5-minute delays. LC#P20AA
  • Route 29 (0/5.8) – Utility work in Middletown from Route 175 to the Napa County Line continues. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Motorists should expect up to 5-minute delays. LC#C29LA

Mendocino County 

  • Route 1 (6.7) – Paving work north of Anchor Bay at Gypsy Flat Road will occur on Wednesday and Thursday, May 22-23. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Motorists should expect up to 5-minute delays. LC#P1BA
  • Route 1 (10.5/11.4) – Paving work south of Gallaway near Schooner Gulch Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should expect up to 5-minute delays. LC#C1YA
  • Route 1 (18/18.7) – Paving work from the Garcia River Overflow Bridge 10-114 to Stornetta Drive continues. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should expect up to 5-minute delays. LC#C1YA
  • Route 1 (50.8/52.2) – Road work north of Mendocino at Jack Peters Creek Bridge 01-43484 from Little Lakes Road to Surfwood Estates Road continues. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Motorists should anticipate up to 10-minute delays. LC#C1VA
  • Route 1 (74/75.4) – Culvert work south of Westport from the Bruhel Point Vista Point to the Blues Beach Trailhead will occur on Friday, May 17. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate up to 10-minute delays. LC#C1CB
  • Route 1 (75.4/76.1) – Emergency work south of Westport from the Blues Beach Trailhead to the Overlook will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate up to 30-minute delays. LC#C1TA
  • Route 1 (82.2/82.9) – Road work south of Hardy from the Portal Rock Vista Point to the Devonte Vista Point continues. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. Motorists should expect up to 5-minute delays. LC#C1BB
  • Route 1 (87.8/103.2) – Paving work in Rockport north of Rockport Street to Redwood Forest Foundation Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Motorists should expect up to 5-minute delays. LC#C1QA
  • Route 1 (104.9/105.5) – Emergency work in Leggett from Jct Route 271 to the South Fork Eel River Bridge 10-149 continues. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Motorists should anticipate up to 10-minute delays. LC#C1UA
  • Route 20 (32.8) – Bridge work in Willits at the Broaddus Creek Bridge 10-54 will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Motorists should anticipate up to 10-minute delays. LC#C20HA
  • Route 20 (33.3/34.8) – Bridge work from the North Calpella Overcrossing 10-206 to Road A will occur on Monday May 20. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Motorists should anticipate up to 15-minute delays. LC#C20HA
  • Route 20 (33.9/44.1) – Utility work east of Calpella from Road 144 to the Lake County Line will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should expect up to 5-minute delays. LC#C20OA
  • Route 20 (37.9) – Bridge work east of Calpella at the Cold Creek Bridge 10-40 will continue. A full on ramp closure will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Motorists should choose an alternate route. LC#C20HA
  • U.S. 101 (1.6/2) – Road work north of Geysers Road will continue. Lane closures will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should expect up to 5-minute delays. LC#C101AC
  • U.S. 101 (5.9) – Bridge work at the Pieta Creek Bridge 10-133 will continue. Lane closures will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. and motorists should expect minor slowdowns. LC#C101WD
  • U.S. 101 (10.6) – Bridge work in Hopland at the Feliz Creek Bridge 10-3 will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Motorists should anticipate up to 10-minute delays. LC#C101WD
  • U.S. 101 (11/11.7) – Road work in Hopland from First Street to Hewlitt and Sturtevant Road will occur on Friday, May 17. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should expect up to 5-minute delays. LC#P101GA
  • U.S. 101 (22.1) – Bridge work at the South Ukiah Overhead Bridge 10-187 will continue. Lane closures will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. and motorists should expect minor delays. LC#C101WD

  • U.S. 101 (33.7/43.2) – Road work south of Willits from Route 20 to Uva Drive in Redwood Valley will continue. Lane closures will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and motorists should expect up to 5-minute delays. LC#M101QD
  • U.S. 101 (71.6) – Utility work will occur north of Laytonville at Ten Mile Creek Road on Monday, May 20. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should expect up to 5-minute delays. LC#P101GA
  • U.S. 101 (85.5/88.6) – Emergency work south of Leggett near Wilson Creek continues. Lane closures will be in effect and motorists should expect minor delays. LC#T101GA
  • Route 128 (4.3/5) – Paving work at Barton Gulch will occur on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 21-22. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should expect up to 10-minute delays. LC#C128EA
  • Route 128 (20.1/22.9) – Electrical work in Philo from Greenwood Road to Ray’s Road will occur on Tuesday, May 21. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should expect up to 5-minute delays. LC#C128AA
  • Route 162 (11/12.6) – Road work south of Dos Rios near the Rodeo Creek Bridge 10-237 continues. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 3 p.m. to 7 a.m. weeknights. Motorists should expect up to 10-minute delays. LC#C162IA
  • Route 162 (11/12.6) – Landscape work near Sand Bank Creek continues. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should expect up to 5-minute delays. LC#M162BA
  • Route 175 (.01) – Survey work at Jct Route 101 will conclude on Friday, May 17. Lane closures will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should expect minor slowdowns. LC#P175BA
  • Route 175 (1.1/3.5) – Paving work in Hopland from Old River Road to Nokomis Road and east of Hooper Ranch Road to the Lake County Line will begin on Monday, May 20. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate up to 10-minute delays. LC#C175AA

  • Route 253 (14.2/15) – Electrical work from Slide Creek to Robinson Creek Road will occur on Wednesday, May 22. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Motorists should expect up to 5-minute delays. LC#C253AA
  • Route 253 (15/16.5) – Tree work from the Robinson Creek Bridge 10-231 to Stipp Lane will occur on Wednesday, May 22. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Motorists should expect up to 5-minute delays. LC#C253AA
  • Route 271 (2) – Emergency work south of Leggett near Big Bend Lodge Road will continue. A full closure will be in effect and motorists should use an alternate route. LC#T271BA
