SACRAMENTO — Safety is the number one priority for Caltrans, and new vans stocked with supplies are hitting the road to ensure workers have the gear they need to do their job safely.
The vans are stocked with personal protection equipment like hard-hats, vests, safety glasses, gloves and other workwear. Other supplies like jackets and sunscreen will assist crews working in California's diverse weather conditions.
Safety vans are already in use in Los Angeles and San Diego, with plans to have vans in each region statewide.
