TRINITY COUNTY - In this Caltrans News Flash, Caltrans maintains traffic control and protects motorists from falling debris at the site of a landslide that closed State Route 299 - a major east-west corridor that connects more than 130,000 Californians on the coast to Interstate 5 - for approximately 48 hours. Caltrans Maintenance staff share their concerns regarding working on slides and how the traveling public reacts to delays caused by slide activity.
