Mission Statement
Effective and safe operation of the state highway system is fundamental in meeting the transportation needs of the public. This goal is reached by identifying ways to reduce accidents and congestion. New devices have been installed to warn the motoring public of unsafe conditions. Changes in highway design are identified which will reduce the formation of unsafe conditions. The result will be fewer delays for motorists caused by incidents or highway work.
