This dataset is intended to represent a spatial model of the items described herein. It is part of the California Department of Transportation's GIS Data Library. The purpose is to show locations of commuter park and ride lots in California. The location of data points contained in this layer was determined by using the location description of individual park and ride facilities in the database. The most points were placed with geocoding in ArcMap, using GDT as the reference layer. The rest were digitized with the help of Mapquest, GDT addresses or Thomas Bros. paper maps. (District 3 and District 4 submitted shapefiles created by District GIS staff).
