Funding for development of this web site and ongoing hosting of this web site is provided by Caltrans (California Department of Transportation), Office of Transportation Economics, Division of Transportation Planning.
Construction of this web site was accomplished under contract to Caltrans by the California Center for Innovative Transportation, in the Institute of Transportation Studies at the University of California at Berkeley. The effort was assisted by subcontracts to California Polytechnic State University and Economic Development Research Group.
The concept of this web-based tool for improving benefit-cost practice by transportation planners, and the basic design of this web site, was the product of a multi-year planning effort by the Committee on Urban Transportation Economic and Policy (now the Urban Transportation Division, Committee on Planning & Economics) of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).
