Office of Airports

The Office of Airports performs the following functions:

• Conduct public use airport and hospital heliport safety and permit compliance inspections.
• Process airport and heliport permits.
• Evaluate proposed school sites near airports.
• Under contract, inspect specified airports and update the Airport Master Record (5010 form) for Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
• Approve heliport landing sites near schools.
• Assist airport management in complying with the state and federal laws and regulations.
