E. Prepare and Approve PID (WBS 150.25) - Circulate, Review and Approve PID (WBS 150.25.20)

P88. Distribute Approved PID

Distribution of copies of the Approved PID will include but are not limited to the following:

  • District/Region Director
  • District/Region Division Chiefs
  • Appropriate DES Units
  • Division of Materials Engineering and Testing
  • Functional Unit PDT Members/Office Chiefs
  • District Liaisons
  • Program Advisor
  • Project manager
  • Project engineer
  • Design Files
  • Resident Engineers File (maintained by the project engineer)
  • Public and Local agencies as appropriate
  • Others as appropriate

Copies required by headquarters may be found on the Headquarters Project Delivery Division of Design website under Project Development Procedures then Engineering Document Circulation – Quick Reference.

A Standardized distribution list is typically available in each district. It should be modified as needed based on the project and report type. Copies should be sent to all units that were requested to review the draft PID, including FHWA and any local agencies, if necessary.
