Inquiry #1: Please clarify bid item no. 43.
There is not any Geosynthetic Pavement Interlayer on this project, so reason holds that there should not be any Binder for the GPI. Also, the entire paving area on this project is less than 6000 sf, therefore a quantity of 15 tons of binder in near impossible.

Inquiry #2: Special Provisions Section 10-1 Order of Work 10-1.01 - The second sentence- Work within the stream/riparian corridor shall be confined to the period of June 15 to October 15...Is the Culvert Replacement portion of this project considered to be in a stream/riparian corridor and therefore this project won't be constructed until after June 15,2013?

Response #2:That is correct. The culvert work is in the stream/riperian area so this work window is confined between June 15 to October 15.

Inquiry #3: Bid item 45 is Place HMA (Misc Area). This work is not detailed on the plans or the Q-drawings. Is the intent of this item to cover the trench paving shown on sheet DD-1 (Drain Details)?

Response #2:No, this item is intended for the RE's use in case some areas outside traveled way need to be repaved due to equipment use at the RE's discretion under the standard clause "and as determined by the engineer".



Trench paving cost including material is part of the drainage cost per linear foot of pipe.
