Response #2:11/8/12:The number of working days as shown in Section 4, BEGINNING OF WORK, TIME OF COMPLETION, AND LIQUIDATED DAMAGES, paragraph one of the Special Provisions is correct. It states: "Complete the work within 85 working days starting on an agreed upon day, after contract approval, no earlier than January 7 ,2013 and no later than February 27, 2013."

Inquiry #2: Do we need to submit a Good Faith Effort if we do not meet the 5% goal?

Response #2:11/8/12: Per Section 2-1.02, DISABLED VETERAN BUSINESS ENTERPRISES, page 5, paragraph 4 of the Special Provisions: "Meet the goal shown in the Notice to Bidders." This contract contains no provisions for a good faith effort and all goals must be met. Please bid per the contract documents.

Inquiry #3: On sheet A1-1, note A1, Caltrans states to install new partitions. However, I am unable to find a specification for the partitions in the Caltrans spec for this project. Please advise.
