Inquiry #1: I am a material supplier of item #32 Weed Control Mat (Fiber). I am unable to come up with the quantites that you call out for this item. Please review the following and advise, so that I can quote the correct material amount.
Example: Location 88
Sheet Q-11 Location #88 Weed Control mat fier calls out for 997 SY.
Sheet Q-5 Metal Beam Guard Rail location 88 calls out 262.5 lf x 5' wide.
Material which showes on Sheet C-3 = 1312.5 SF /9=145.83 SY
This quantity discrepancy appears throughtout the project

Inquiry #2: How does Caltrans plan on protecting the Concrete Anchor Blocks at locations since it's the only two locaiton's that don't have a "k" Rail detail.

Locations 28,96,97,102,106 and 107 calls for "K" Rail but there is no Concrete work to be done at these locations. What is the K rail required for?
