Inquiry #1: Section 99-07411B(1) Sheet materials. Indicates that the base metal for the roof panels must be 20-gage! Section 99-07620B(1) Sheet Metal Flashings. Indicate the materials for the trims to be 24-gage. Is the 20-gage material accurate? Please note that if 20 gage material is used you would have to buy the entire coil for a very small amount of material raising the cost substantially. On previous projects we have done for Caltrans including the Crew Quarters at Lee Vining we used 24 gage material on the roof panels. Please clarify.

Inquiry #2: Plan page A1-93 detail 5 indicates cutting counter flashing at head trim into existing CMU. This wall is stucco not CMU. We suggest a shallow cut into the stucco without cutting the wire mesh and then install a flashing into the cut and over the head trim.

Inquiry #3: The specifications require O.H. doors with a 20G front panel and a 26G back panel and an R value of 8 or better. We have checked with (3) manufacturers and we can get a R 17 panel with a 27G back panel or an R 7.25 with a 26G back panel. I would assume he R value would be more important, please advise.
