Upon award of the contract, the Department will provide you with a complete list of all Department
furnished materials, fabrication details, wiring diagrams, and conductors termination data for reference
and for planning purposes.

Inquiry #11: Your response to question #2 states that the performance and payment bonds are required at the time of bid opening. Are you referring to the bid bond? Section 3-1.18 of the Standard Specifications states that the successful bidder has 5 business days to return the contract with the listed documents, which includes the contract payment and performance bonds. Please clarify.

Response #1:Bidder Security is required as stated in Standard Specification 2-1.34. All items required by Standard Specification 3-1.18 are required to execute the contract as provided in Special Provision "3 Contract Award and Execution."

Inquiry #14: To further question 2 and 11. When do we need to furnish the payment and performance bonds, at 10am, within 2 hours, within 6 hours? If the answer is at 10am, what dollar amount should be listed for the bonds, since the final numbers would have just been submitted to Caltrans? Would a hard and fast commitment letter from our surety work until the bonds could be produced later that day?
