Inquiry #1: On Sheet 47, PDQ 1 of the plans it shows Detail 36A and Detail 36B quantities under the 4" Thermoplastic Stripe, White Solid and again under the 8" Thermoplastic Traffic Stripe, White Solid area. Also within the same plan page there are callouts for Detail 25M, and Detail 50 Mod, but there is no explanation as to what these details are.

Response #2:Detail 25M and Detail 50 are calculated for 1' buffer & 2' buffer as shown on the Pavement Delineation Plans. Detail 36A and Detail 36B are for striping at gore areas.

Inquiry #2: Section 39 in the Special Provisions are specifications for Caltrans Standard Specification 2010 Hveem Mix but bid item 32 HMA A and bid item 33 RHMA G and the plans indicated Superpave. Is this a superpave project? If so please provide the superpave specifiction for section 39.

Inquiry #4: For Items# 42, 44, & 49 there is no detail or layout and for Items# 43 & 45 there is no layout. How are we to determine ends, corners, terminals for these items? Since Item# 49 is a Final Quantity there should be more information, layout, detail, etc. Please advise!

Response #1:Item 42 there is no drawn detail. Refer to specification under section 80-4 Wrought Iron Fence in the project specifications. Location is described in chart on sheet Q-8, intended to close the opening between freeway wall and the commercial building immediately to the west. The second location noted in the chart as 162' south of Olympic Blvd. should be corrected to 370' south of Olympic Blvd. The fence should close the gap between the freeway retaining wall and an existing block wall at the southern corner of the commercial parking lot adjacent.
Item 43 location is described in chart on sheet Q-8. Fence is intended to close the gap between parallel soundwalls. Fence should be perpendicular to the soundwalls.
Item 44 there is no drawn detail. Refer to specification under section 80-11 Wrought Iron Gate in the project specifications. The gates should be centered in the fence.
Item 45 gates should be centered within fence.
Item 49 detail is shown in Standard Plan sheet B11-47 on page 293 in the printed version of the 2010 Standard Plans. Location is described in chart on sheet Q-8, intended to close the opening between existing chain link railing and adjacent soundwall at north end of bridge.

Inquiry #8: Reference to answer to inquiry #4, Item #49 should be per 2010 Standard Plan B11-47, these detail is for Cable Railing and not Chain Link Railing (Type 7), please clarify which one to use. Thanks
