Inquiry #1: The irrigation plan on sheet 14, IP-3, shows new wire ending up at line UC1, station 24+50. The plans, however, do not specify how many wires get connected at the above location.

Please clarify the quantity of wires required to cut and connect at or near the location mentioned above. Are we required to bring one or more wires?

Response #2:Connection from the new irrigation controller to the existing (18) remote control valves (RCV) downstream of the existing irrigation crossover at Sta "UC1" 24+50 on Sheet IP-3, will not be required. Wire runs should end at the valve cluster (RCV C-7 to C-13). Unless if an addendum is issued, bid per plans and specs.

Inquiry #4: Please clarify Rock Blanket Vs. Rock Mulch. It seems that the Plan Sheets are detailing Rock Mulch with an edge not Rock Blanket, in addition the Specials and the Standards do not give a Sieve for the Rock nor do they detail a specific edging material. Please explain the type of installation the State is requiring.
Inquiry submitted 08/16/2013

Response #1:Submitted for consideration.

Response #2:Rock blanket must be installed as shown on Landscape Detail Sheet (LD-2) and comply with section 20-12 of the standard specifications, and the special provisions for the project, beginning on page 28 and continuing on page 29. Grading for rock is shown in table 20-12.02D on page 29 of the special provisions. There is no edging required. Partial rock shown in section detail on sheet LD-2 is just a graphical pattern representation of the rock blanket edge and does not indicate a paved edge where the rock blanket would butt up against.
