Geotechnical Laboratory
The Geotechnical Laboratory is an AASHTO Materials Reference Laboratory (AMRL) accredited facility located at the Transportation Laboratory in Sacramento. The Geotechnical Laboratory performs geotechnical testing of soil and rock samples.

WORK REQUESTS
A Geotechnical Laboratory Request Form and Boring Sample Record must accompany each group of samples submitted to the Geotechnical Laboratory. Examples of completed forms are available here:
The Geotechnical Laboratory Quick Reference Sheet identifies the minimum sample size and/or weight required for each test.
