Contractor Compliance Program Unit (CCU)
The California Department of Transportation is committed to ensuring equal employment opportunity on all federal-aid highway construction contracts; and shall partner and work cooperatively with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and construction contractors to ensure compliance with all federal Equal Employment Opportunity laws, regulations and statutes. The Contractor Compliance Program objective is to ensure nondiscrimination and provide affirmation action on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, age, handicap or sex by Federal aid highway contractors as required by Executive Order 11246, as amended and 23 United States Code, Section 140 and its implementing regulations at 23 Code of Federal Regulations, Part 230, Subparts A and D.
