Annual Planned Awards Report
Executive Order (EO) 13256 for Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), EO 13230 for Educational Excellence for Hispanic Americans (HSIs), and EO 13270 for Tribal Colleges and Universities (TCUs), require Federal departments and agencies to submit an annual plan awards report to the Secretary of Education containing data on its efforts to increase the participation of Minority Institutions of Higher Education (MIHEs) in federally sponsored programs. In addition, EOs for HSIs and TCUs also require that Federal departments and agencies submit all planned outreach efforts to be directed towards the Hispanic, Native American and Alaska Native communities; i.e., promoting and encouraging the development of language, culture, and traditions, and educational efforts directed towards early childhood development, elementary, and secondary students.
