Environmental Enhancement and Mitigation (EEM) Program

On September 26, 2013, Governor Brown signed legislation (Senate Bill 99, Chapter 359and Assembly Bill 101, Chapter 354) amending the Environmental Enhancement and Mitigation Program (California Streets and Highways Code Section 164.56) and creating the Active Transportation Program (ATP) in the Department of Transportation

The bill would appropriate $7,000,000.00 from the Environmental Enhancement and Mitigation Program Fund, to the Secretary of the California Natural Resources Agency for grants awarded by the secretary to support local environmental enhancement and mitigation programs.
