Bryan Winzenread, P.E. - Deputy District Director
Program/Project Management & Local Assistance
Bryan obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from California State University, Fullerton and is a licensed Professional Engineer with the State of California in Civil Engineering. In 2005, he attained certification as a Project Management Professional through the Project Management Institute.
He began his engineering career in the private sector, performing structural design of commercial buildings, residential houses, multi-family apartments and student housing projects throughout the United States.
In 1998, he became employed by the California Department of Transportation working in Project Delivery where he designed roadway improvement projects. His next move was into Traffic Operations where he first experienced project management, serving as a two-hat Project Manager on Minor projects.
He then promoted to a one-hat Project Manager in Program/Project Management where he delivered Major projects in the District's Capital Outlay program. In 2006, he was promoted to the Deputy District Director for Program/Project Management & Local Assistance. Bryan, his wife Rory and their three children enjoy many outdoor activities that the Eastern Sierras have to offer. They like camping, fishing, hiking, wake boarding, snow skiing and exploring in their Rhino.
