Ryan Dermody - Deputy District Director

Ryan Dermody is the District Division Chief for Planning, Modal Programs and Local Assistance for District 9, California Department of Transportation, located in Bishop.
Ryan holds both Bachelor and Master of Science Degrees in Geography (with emphasis in Rural Land and Resource Planning) from Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon, where in 2001 Caltrans recruited him to the District 9 Office in Bishop to work in the Planning division. In 2007, Ryan accepted the position of Office Chief of Local Assistance for District 9. During his time in Local Assistance, he also handled acting assignments as the Deputy District Director for Planning and Chief of the Eastern Sierra Environmental Branch. Ryan also holds a certificate in Project Management from California State University Sacramento.
