Public Information Meeting
State Route 204 Project and Father Garces Statue

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) staff including project managers, design engineers and environmental planners will hold a Public Information Meeting to discuss the State Route 204 bridge replacement project including the Father Garces Statue.

Due to the community’s interest in the preservation of the Father Garces statue, we are holding this Public Information meeting to address questions about this project.

Caltrans is proposing to replace the existing State Route 204 bridge over Chester Avenue and 30th Street (Garces Circle) in the city of Bakersfield. Preliminary design maps and other project information will be available for viewing. Questions and comments about this project are encouraged and welcomed at this informal meeting.

The meeting will take place on Tuesday, June 28, 2005 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Barbecue Factory, 1616 30th Street, Bakersfield, California 93301.
