The availability or use of information provided in the responses to bidder's inquiries is not to be construed in any way as a waiver of the provisions of Section 2-1.03 of the Standard Specifications or any other provision of the contract, the plans, Standard Specifications or Special Provisions, nor to excuse the contractor from full compliance with those contract requirements. Bidders are cautioned that subsequent responses or contract addenda may affect or vary a response previously given.

Q) The quantity of rock blanket on the plan does not agree with the quantity in the breakdown of bid items. Since there are no dimensions on the plan relating to this, we do not now (typo? "know") which number is correct . Please advise.

A) The plan quantity is correct, 870 m2. An addendum will be issued.


Q) Special provisions have a section for construction area signs (10-1.04), however the plan does not indicate any location for signs, nor is there any bid item for construction. What is the requirement for construction area signs?

A) No permanent construction area signs will be required. Whenever vehicles or equipment are parked on the shoulder within 1.8 m of a traffic lane, the shoulder area will be closed as shown on plans (Standard Plan T-10).


Q) In regards to the state furnished mulch, will it be furnished to the job or will the contractor be responsible to pick it up at a different location? Please inform.

A) State furnished mulch is stockpiled within the project limits.
