Q1) We are B license, can we bid on the project "Landscaping" Hwy 101 / 41 intersection Atascadero CA as prime. Project requires A license and or c-27, our subs have both license, can we qualify for the license requirements through our subs?
A1) No. Caltran's projects are advertised under California Business and Professions code which require a "prime" Contractor to be legally responsible for the project under California Business and Professions Code. Legal responsibilities include the correct license is "held" in good standing by the bidder (prime). 27Sep11.
Q2)On plan sheets 14 and 15 there is a table and a call out for a specific brand (Calsense) and model of irrigation controller and type of cabinet. The model number is incorrect, please clarify?
