Q1) Is the DVBE goal of 5% a requirement?

A1) Yes, meeting the DVBE goal is a requirement for award, there is no Good Faith Effort. 24Feb11


Q2) Plan sheet number 6 says that the City of Lompoc and Verizon will pay for the Adjustment of the existing Utilities to grade after paving. However, who pays for the lowering of these utilities prior to cold plane?

A2) The City of Lompoc and Verizon will pay for lowering and adjusting to grade of their utilities. 1Mar11


Q3) What if there are other utilities encountered, who pays for those lowering and adjustments?

Q4) The Repair Failed Areas table on plan sheet 6 shows the total length of 12 feet wide repairs in each lane. How many individual Repairs are in that length, or is the length just one long continuous repair? If individual repairs, what are the Stations of these?

Q5) Do the detector loops have to be installed before the final lift of Hot Mix Asphalt is placed?
