Motorists Should Take Alternate Routes During Maintenance Work
RIO VISTA – Caltrans is alerting motorists the Rio Vista Bridge on State Route 12 is scheduled for two overnight closures early next month for ongoing maintenance work. There have been no malfunctions or problems discovered from the recent repairs.
The bridge remains safe for travel. A Caltrans contractor and structural engineers will return four links of the counter weight chains back into their original placement.

Current truck restrictions will apply. California legal trucks having a kingpin-to-rear-axle of more than 30 feet are not recommended on State Route 160.
Weather or unexpected events may delay or re-schedule the work. Caltrans advises motorists to “Be Work Zone Alert.”
