Left Turns to be Closed on U.S. Highway 50 on Weekends in October

Closures for Eastbound Motorists during Apple Hill Season

EL DORADO COUNTY – Caltrans is advising motorists that three left turns on eastbound U.S. Highway 50 in the Camino area will be closed on weekends for the month of October due to increased traffic from Apple Hill season.

The left turns at 5 Mile Road and the first two Carson Road exits will be closed from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday the weekends of October 7-8, 14-15, 21-22 and 28-29. Caltrans crews will staff the closures with assistance from the California Highway Patrol. Eastbound motorists will be directed to continue on to Exit 54, the third Carson Road exit.
