Detour at Arden Way in North Sacramento
SACRAMENTO COUNTY – Caltrans has scheduled a nighttime full closure for the southbound direction of State Highway 160 near Arden Way in North Sacramento on Thursday, June 22. This is part of the ongoing $6.9 million project to repair and resurface damaged pavement on Highways 160 and 51 (Business 80).
Crews are scheduled for concrete grinding and roadway slab replacement work. Nearby residents may experience loud construction type noises that include saw cutting, jack hammering and commercial vehicle beeping noises.
Caltrans urges motorists to seek an alternate route or expect additional travel times and delays due to changing lane restrictions and ramp closures.
The closure will be from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Thursday, June 22 and again on Friday, June 23 (if needed). Advanced signage will be set up for detours and posted work zone speeds will be enforced by the California Highway Patrol.
Arden Way to Northgate Boulevard and back onto Highway 160. For access to the midtown Sacramento area continue onto southbound State Highway 51 (Business 80).
Weather or unexpected events may delay or prolong the work. Caltrans advises motorists to “Be Work Zone Alert.” The department will issue construction updates on Twitter @CaltransDist3 and on Facebook at CaltransDistrict3.
