Caltrans Seeks Public Feedback on Proposed Yuba County Project

Plans Call for Major Improvements to State Highway 20 in the Browns Valley Area

YUBA COUNTY – Caltrans is hosting a community open house on Tuesday, June 6 to discuss plans for major roadway improvements to State Highway 20 in the Browns Valley area.

The event is scheduled from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Browns Valley Elementary School, 9555 Browns Valley School Road in Browns Valley. Community members can view project displays and review materials. Caltrans staff members will be available to answer questions and receive  comments from the public.

Caltrans is proposing a $39.9 million project to repave a 4.5-mile section of highway, widen the shoulders, straighten curves, flatten roadway slopes and replace the Dry Creek Bridge.  Construction is estimated to start in fall 2022.
