LONG TERM PROJECTS

State Route 70 (Yuba County):  Work continues on this $17.8 Million project to construct a new interchange at Plumas Lake Blvd just south of Algodon Road.  Completion is expected in 2008.  

            May 19 - May 22

State Route 70 (Yuba County) from Feather River Boulevard to Plumas Arboga Road:  Motorists can expect various north and southbound lane restrictions from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday.  A contractor is scheduled to do miscellaneous construction work.

State Route 70 (Sutter County) Work begins on this $82 Million project to create a four-lane corridor between Sacramento to Marysville.  Completion is expected in 2010.  

May 18 - October 15

State Route 70 (Sutter County) Access to the eastbound lane from Striplin Road, Marcum Road and Cornelius Road will be closed from midnight April 28 through October 15.  Detours will be clearly posted.  A contractor is scheduled to do grinding and paving. 

State Route 99 (Sutter County) Work continues on this $14.7 Million project to improve the operation of the highway by adding right and left turn pockets, expanding the paved shoulders to eight feet and replacing the pavement from Smith Road to just south of Queens Avenue.  Completion is expected in May 2008.  No traffic interfering work is scheduled this week.

State Route 149 (Butte County): Work continues on this $105 Million project to make this highway a four-lane expressway with freeway to freeway interchanges at the intersections of Highways 70/149 and Highways 99/149.  Completion is expected in 2009.

 

May 19 – May 22

State Route 70 (Butte County) between Dry Creek and the Junction of State Routes 99 & 149: Motorists can expect northbound lane restrictions from 7:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday.  A contractor is scheduled to do miscellaneous work.

May 19 – May 23

State Route 149 (Butte County) between End Bridge and the Junction of State Route 99: Motorists can expect various lane restrictions between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.  A contractor is scheduled to do grinding.

 

SHORT TERM PROJECTS

Interstate 5 (Colusa County) from Harrington Road to E Street: Motorists can expect intermittent restrictions of the north and southbound #1 lane Monday through Saturday.  A contractor will be doing bridge repair. 

State Route 20 (Sutter County) from Township Road to Sycamore Canal: Motorists can expect westbound #2 lane restrictions from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday.  Caltrans crews will be grinding and paving.

State Route 20 (Sutter County) at Plumas Street:  Motorists can expect the left turn lane westbound and the right turn eastbound lanes closed. A contractor is doing construction work.   Plumas Street is scheduled to reopen October 31.

State Route 65 (Yuba County) from Morrison/Rancho to the Route 65/70 Separation:  Motorists can expect intermittent north/southbound lane restrictions from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday.  Caltrans crews will be grinding and paving.   

State Route 70 (Yuba County) at McGowan Road: Motorists can expect various lane restrictions from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday.   Caltrans crews will be grinding and paving.

State Route 99 (Butte County) from East Fifth Avenue to Cohasset: Motorists can expect various north and southbound #1 lane restrictions between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. Monday through Saturday.  A contractor is scheduled to install guardrails.

State Route 99 (Sutter County) from Riego Road to East Nicolaus Road: Motorists can expect various north/southbound lane restrictions between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. Wednesday through Friday.  A contractor is scheduled to do electrical work.

The Caltrans District 3 Traffic Management Branch has reviewed each project and determined that individual project delays are expected to be less than the statewide policy maximum of 30 minutes, unless noted otherwise above. 

Lanes are numbered from the center divide (#1) to the shoulder (#2, 3, 4, etc.).
