Marysville Roadway Rehabilitation Project

Yuba

This project will replace the structural roadway section of State Routes 20 and 70 in Marysville. Continuously reinforced concrete pavement is proposed from the intersection of F and 10th streets, along 9th Street and up B Street to the intersection of B and 12th as well as along E Street, from 6th to 9th streets. Asphalt concrete will be placed at various locations throughout the project. Obsolete traffic signals will be replaced or modified to improve traffic and pedestrian operations. Curbs, ramps, and sidewalks will be upgraded to current ADA standards. Other features include tree planting and stamped concrete at select locations, as well as drainage improvements.

Hwy 193 Newcastle Relignment

Placer

This realignment project project will improve the radius of the roadway curves, increase sight distance, add paved shoulder width, and provide clear recovery zones.

Lakeside - Stormwater

Placer

The project will rehabilitate stormwater drainage and treatment systems, realign the road, and widen shoulders to allow bicycles and places for cars to pull out of traffic. The project will improve traffic safety, workers will also lengthen existing left-turn pockets and continuous left turn lanes, and construct new left turn lanes at Gray Avenue, Moana Circle, McKinney Rubicon Springs Road, Ward Avenue, Sunnyside Lane, Olympic Drive (north), Granlibakken Road, and the proposed entrance to Tahoe City Transit Center.

Lincoln Bypass 1

Placer

This project constructs an 11.7-mile freeway to bypass the City of Lincoln. The purpose is to relieve congestion, improve safety on existing State Route 65 (SR65) in the vicinity of the City of Lincoln, and provide for a regional and interregional traffic solution to accommodate projected traffic volumes for the year 2025.

Emigrant Gap

Placer

The project will rehabilitate Route 80 in Placer and Nevada Counties from Carpenter Flat UC at Emigrant Gap to Hampshire Rocks UC near Rainbow. The proposed work includes rehabilitation of the existing mainline and shoulders (lane and slab replacement with portland concrete cement), rehabilitating drainage systems, and constructing traffic improvements that will be beneficial to handling traffic during construction or to improve the safety and operation of the facility. Metal beam guardrail will be reconstructed, with portions of guardrail being replaced with concrete barrier.

Vertical Clearance for Permit Vehicles

Placer

This project proposes to raise six overcrossing (OC) structures and replace the roadway structural section beneath one underpass (UP) structure and two overcrossing (OC) structures to meet vertical clearance requirements for permit vehicles. The required minimum vertical clearance is 16 feet 6 inches. Currently most of the bridges identified have vertical clearances of 15 feet 6 inches or less.

Johnson Pass Road to Incline Road (Meyers)

The project will collect and treat stormwater runoff as part of the Lake Tahoe Environmental Improvement Program (EIP). The project is located on Route 50 between Johnson Pass Road and Incline Road.

Airport to "Y" Junction

El Dorado

The project will collect and treat stormwater runoff as part of the Lake Tahoe Environmental Improvement Program (EIP). The project is located within the City of South Lake Tahoe (CSLT) on U.S. Highway 50 between the Lake Tahoe Airport and the “Y.” The first mile of the project is a 2 lane conventional highway. The remaining 0.7 miles of Hwy 50 is a 4 lane conventional highway with a continuous two way left turn lane.

West of Ski Run Blvd. to Wildwood Ave

El Dorado

The project will collect and treat stormwater runoff as part of the Lake Tahoe Environmental Improvement Program (EIP). The project is located within the City of South Lake Tahoe (CSLT) on Route 50, from 1200’ west of Ski Run Boulevard to Wildwood Ave.

Trout Creek Bridge to Ski Run Boulevard

The improvement project will collect and treat stormwater runoff and provide substantial safety and beautification features as part of the Lake Tahoe Environmental Improvement Program (EIP). The project is located within the City of South Lake Tahoe (CSLT) on Route 50 from Trout Creek Bridge to Ski Run Boulevard.

"Y" to Cascade Road

El Dorado

The project will collect and treat storm water runoff as part of the Lake Tahoe Environmental Improvement Program (EIP). The project is partially located within the City of South Lake Tahoe (CSLT) on Route 89 between the “Y” and Cascade Road. The first 1.1 miles of the project is a 4 lane conventional highway with a continuous two way left turn lane. The remainder of the project is a 2 lane conventional highway.

"Y" to Nevada Stateline

El Dorado

This is an Adaptive Traffic Signal System project. It is located within the City of South Lake Tahoe (CSLT) on Route 50 from the “Y” to Nevada Stateline.

Lincoln Bypass 2A

The project proposes to add 2 southbound lanes from Nelson Lane to West Wise Road. The purpose is to relieve congestion and improve safety on existing State Route 65 in the vicinity of the City of Lincoln. It will provide for a regional and interregional traffic solution to accommodate projected traffic volumes for the year 2035.

SR 99 Chico Auxiliary Lanes Project - Phase 2

Butte

This project will construct auxiliary lanes along State Route 99, between SR 32 and East First Avenue, including improvements at the ramps. The work includes construction of northbound and southbound auxiliary lanes, widening of the viaduct structures over Bidwell Park, widening of undercrossing structures at Palmetto Avenue, and widening of East First Avenue. Soundwalls and retaining walls also will be constructed.

"Y" to Trout Creek Bridge

El Dorado

The project will collect and treat stormwater runoff as part of the Lake Tahoe Environmental Improvement Program (EIP). The project is located within the City of South Lake Tahoe (CSLT) on Route 50 from the “Y” to Trout Creek Bridge.

Rehabilitation from Elk Grove to Pocket Rd.

Sacramento

The project is located on Interstate 5 and extends from the Sacramento / San Joaquin County line to the Florin Road over crossing that will repair the existing damaged pavement and overlay, replace guardrail and median barriers at select locations.

Across the Top Bus/Carpool Lanes

Sacramento

The project will improve the mobility for motorists in the Sacramento region by constructing approximately 10 miles of east and westbound bus/carpool lanes, rehabilitating the pavement from West El Camino Avenue to Watt Avenue and adding one mile of auxiliary lanes in both directions of Interstate 80 from West El Camino Avenue to the Interstate 80/Interstate 5 interchange.

Capital Preventive Maintenance

Yolo

In and near Woodland from 0.3 mile west of Sacramento River bridge to 0.2 mile north of Adams Creek bridge. Dig out and repair failed structural sections, fill and seal random cracks, cold plane existing open-graded asphalt concrete, place Rubberized Warm Mix Asphalt Concrete - Gap Grade and Open Grade on mainline and shoulders, replace existing asphalt dike impacted by overlay, replace traffic management and vehicle detection system loop detectors, place rumble strip on median and outside shoulders, reconstruct metal beam guard railing impacted by overlay, replace damaged approach slabs, replace existing pavement delineations and markings.

Bus/Carpool Lanes Phase 1

Sacramento

This project (Phase 1) will create approximately 18.8 miles of bus/carpool lanes on I-5 in the Sacramento area, from 0.7 miles north of South Reach Beach Lake Bridge 24-347 to Route 50. Phase 2 will be designed and constructed as a separate project at a later date and will construct approximately 6.8 miles of bus/carpool lanes from 0.2 mile south of Beach Lake Bridge 24-262 to 0.7 mile north of South Reach Beach Lake Bridge 24-347. One environmental document will cover the Phase 1 and Phase 2 project limits.

La Barr Meadows

Nevada

This project will widen State Route (SR) 49 to a four-lane highway with a continuous median/left-turn lane and to construct new shoulders and widen existing shoulders between Little Valley Road and Cornette Way south of Grass Valley in Nevada County. In addition, the project proposes to construct frontage roads, a signalized intersection at La Barr Meadows, right turn pockets and noise reduction barriers.

Feather River Bridge

Sutter

The project is located in Sutter County near Nicolaus from Power Line Road to south of Laurel Avenue. The project proposes to widen Highway 99 from two to four lanes by constructing a new two-lane bridge on the east side of the existing structure over the Feather River.

Highway 70 Passing Lanes

Butte

This project will extend the north and southbound passing lanes on Highway 70 in the vicinity of East Gridley Road. The project will also add additional left turn lanes from East Gridley Road to northbound Highway 70 and Stimpson Road to southbound Highway 7

Butte Creek Replacement

Butte

Replace northbound structure of the Butte Creek Bridge.

West Branch Feather River Bridge

Butte

Perform seismic retrofitting and related maintenance of the west branch of the Feather River Bridge.

Highways 99/113 Interchange

Sutter

This project proposes to construct a new interchange at the intersection of Highway 99 and Highway 113 in the Tudor area of Sutter County.

Dry Creek Bridge Improvements

Yuba

The project will place rock slope protection beneath the bridge, replace approach slabs and put a polyester concrete overlay on the travel way.

West Branch Feather River

Yuba

Perform seismic retrofitting and related maintenance of the West branch of the Feather River Bridge.

Riego Rd Interchange

Sutter

New interchange at Riego Road and State Highway 99 in southern Sutter County.

Yolo 16 Safety Improvements

Yolo

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is proposing a safety improvement project at three separate locations on State Route 16 in Yolo County between the I-505 interchange and Brooks.

Camellia City Viaduct (W/X Freeway - U.S. Hwy 50) Rehabilitation

Sacramento

The Camellia City Viaduct on US 50 lies between the 16th Street ramps on the west end, and the 50/51/99 interchange on the east. Its 2,530 foot-long structures carry six lanes of traffic over city streets, freight, and light rail lines in downtown Sacramento.

Sac-80 Bridge Rehabilitation

Sacramento

In Sacramento County, in and near Sacramento at various locations from North Avenue Overcrossing to Route 80/244 Separation. Rehabilitation of three bridge decks.

Sac-99 Seismic Retrofit

Sacramento

Project is near Elk Grove and proposes to seismically retrofit five bridges: Dillard Road Overcrossing (OC) (Br No 24-0163 PM 7.36), Cosumnes River Overflow (Br No 24-0021R/L PM 7.92), and Cosumnes River (Br No 24-0020R/L PM 8.40).

Elverta Road/State Route 99 Interchange

Sacramento

New interchange including an overpass for east and westbound Elverta Road to merge onto north and southbound State Highway 99.

Please be advised this is a Caltrans oversight project with Sacramento County as the lead agency.

South Fork American River Bridge Widening

El Dorado

This project will rehabilitate or replace the South Fork American River Bridge to meet current seismic standards and provide a wider structure to include standard lanes and shoulders, and accommodate bicycles and pedestrians.
