Metal Beam Guardrail

A project to re-construct, upgrade, adjust, and install new metal beam guard rail at various locations on Interstate 5 from Cottonwood to just south of Dunsmuir will continue through the fall of 2012. The approximately $6 million construction project was awarded to Coral Construction of Wilsonville, Oregon. A similar project will also be completed in Shasta County.

   
   

North Red Bluff Rehab

A $42 million construction project to rehabilitate a portion of Interstate 5 between the Sacramento River Bridge in Red Bluff to Cottonwood will be awarded in late fall of 2011.

   
   

Tehama 99

Pavement rehabilitation work on State Route 99 in Tehama County, from Los Molinos Creek Bridge to the Salt Creek Bridge near Red Bluff has started and will continue to the fall of 2011. The project will increase pavement life, improve ride quality, upgrade bridge guardrail and provide centerline and shoulder rumble strips on a 12 mile section of Highway 99. The approximately $10 million construction project was awarded to Knife River Construction of Chico, California.
