Anderson Grade Pavement Rehab

This project is a $55 million long-life pavement project in Siskiyou County near Yreka from 0.3 miles south of the Shasta River Bridge to 0.1 miles north of the Klamath River Road undercrossing. It is scheduled to begin construction in the spring of 2012. This project will build a reinforced concrete pavement roadway with a design life of 40 years. 

   
   

I-5 Weed Rehab

In Siskiyou County in and near Weed from State Route 97 to 0.3 mile south of the Weed Rest Area on Interstate 5. This project will rehabilitate the pavement on I-5 with a 40-year design life pavement and will go to construction in the spring/summer of 2012. This project will be completed in the fall of 2013.

   
   

Mac Dorris Rehab

A roadway rehabilitation project is underway on State Route 97 in Siskiyou County at and near MacDoel from Juniper Knoll Road to the Oregon State line and will include repaving the agricultural inspection station at Dorris.  Klamath Pacific is the contractor on this $14m project that is planned to be completed by the fall of 2012.           

   
   

Shasta River Bridge Rehabilitation

The deck replacement and seismic retrofit of the Shasta River Bridge on Interstate 5, in Siskiyou County near Yreka is anticipated to start construction in the summer/fall of 2012, with completion in the fall of 2013.

   
   

Siskiyou County Bridge Preventive Maintenance

Preventive maintenance on six bridges In Siskiyou County on State Route 96 between the Salmon River Bridge and the Klamath River Bridge.  Work will consist of painting steel bridges and placing a polyester concrete driving surface on the bridge decks.  Construction will begin in spring 2012.   

   
   

Siskiyou Many Bridges

In Siskiyou County at various locations on Interstate 5, State Routes 3, 96 and 97.  This project will perform necessary deck rehabilitation work to increase longevity and ride quality.  The project is currently under construction with American Civil Constructors performing the work at a cost of $1.1 million.

   
Ukonom Culvert Rehab   Ukonom Culvert Rehab

The Ukonom Culvert Rehab project is scheduled to begin construction in May 2012. Beginning at the Humboldt-Siskiyou County line, this project will repair or upgrade existing drainage systems along a 12-mile section of State Route 96 in Siskiyou County.  A total of 86 culverts have been evaluated as needing some degree of work.  The objective for each construction site is to provide safer roadside conditions for travelers and improve the ability of the drainage systems to manage the demands of storm water runoff. 

   
Yreka Bridge Looking South   Yreka Shasta River Bridge Rehabilitation - Project Fact Sheet

The Yreka Shasta River Bridge Rehabilitation Project proposes to replace the bridge decks and rails on bridge located on Interstate 5, just north of Yreka.  Additional work includes seismic retrofit of both structures and replacement of the approach slabs.  Construction staging will require temporary detours using median crossovers, construction of construction access roads and a temporary river crossing.  Construction is anticipated to begin during the 2012 construction season and complete in 2014.
